Finally, the fight that the MMA fans are looking forward to the Dommy Cruz versus TJ Dillashaw fight. Yes, MMA fans, the fight is set!
After Dominick Cruz has been cleared by his doctors for him to resume his training, his battle was immediately booked. He is set to fight TJ Dillashaw – the fighter who was able to grab the championship gold while Cruz was out of the picture. The location of the said battle is still TBD (but potentially the TD Garden in Boston). This battle will definitely determine as to who is the real bantamweight champion. One of the greatest battles, which may be witnessed for free, will happen at the UFC Fight Night 81 on January 16.
Dominick Cruz – “The Dominator”, has not competed in years. The last battle that he faced back in September of 2014. After which he spent his time recovering from several injuries, from ACL and groin injuries. On the other hand, Dillashaw was actually making his way to the tops. He ranked as top 5 in the pound-for-pound rankings after winning his battles against Joe Soto and Renan Barao. Dillashaw’s performance during his battle with Barao was indeed a brilliant performance at the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Not only that, there’s actually more to look forward to. Also, at Fight Night 81 there will be a second battle that will excite MMA fans even more, and this will be between former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis vs. former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez. This seems to be an incredible lightweight match. Pettis will try his shot for the win against Alvarez, after almost losing a title match against Rafael Dos Anjos that happened in the UFC 18. Alvarez is actually fresh from a fight, from UFC 188 where he was up against Gil Melendez and came out on top of the game via decision.
This is definitely a Fight Night that mixed martial arts fans shouldn’t miss. What do you think will happen if everything goes well according to plan? Who will be on top of their game and came out victorious?
