Ronda Rousey has always been proud about her amazing body.
In a recent conference before the UFC 190 event, the bantamweight champion has revealed one of the lessons that her mom taught her and made her who she is today. This is where the term “Do Nothing Bitch”, or DNB, became popular. This phrase is about women’s body image issues, but some use it to convey another meaning.
Rose Namajunas had some not-so-good thoughts about this ‘DNB craze’. Namajunas, who is a potential new face of the 115-pound division, used the social media to let the people know what she thinks about Rousey’s popular motto.
“To this whole DNB craze I don’t care if you do something or do nothing, just don’t be a bitch. Let’s be nice and not judge other lifestyles… or don’t and just be an unhappy person over there. lol,” Namajunas said on Instagram.
Namajunas, who ranked third in the MMA strawweight division, made it clear that she has nothing against Rousey herself though.
“And as far as Ronda goes I love her and what she’s done but I think her message is misinterpreted. I don’t think hurting and punching people in the face for millions is any better than using sex to make millions,” she said, clarifying what she said about her first post.
“I like the positive message about body image though, just think people are taking it the wrong way. Some of the coolest people I’ve met are strippers and down to earth loving people so just don’t judge others is my point. I wouldn’t encourage any particular lifestyle. I don’t even encourage fighting as a lifestyle. But I do encourage free will and be whatever you want to be. If it’s a stripper so be it, especially if it’s by choice and not just ‘cause you need the money but because you have a passion for it.”
“Go make that money girl if that’s what you so choose, but if you wanna be a doctor too that’s awesome! Both make people feel better. lol,” mixed martial arts female fighter Namajunas explained comically.
